** S&K Charters is not responsible for any personal items taken on the vessel. It is preferred if you leave your personal items in your vehicle, however, a dry bag is available for phones, wallet, keys, and purses**

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Your charter includes everything needed for the evening consisting of: bows, gigs, ice box, fishing license (saltwater), bottled water, and all safety equipment. However, if you have your own bow or gig, feel free to bring it along. If you would like to keep your fish we will provide ice but you will need to bring your own cooler.

DO I NEED A FISHING LICENSE?
No, you do not need a fishing license. Fishing licenses are provided as part of your charter, (except for fresh water charters). Your Captain will discuss details, if applicable, during booking, prior to the trip.

WHAT TYPE OF FISH?
We target mullet, sheepshead, black drum, longnose gar, stingray, flounder, ladyfish, tilapia, and more.

WHAT IF A TRIP IS CANCELED DUE TO BAD WEATHER?
There is no deposit required therefore, if the Captain cancels a trip due to unsafe weather conditions you will be notified prior to the trip and given an option to reschedule.

CAN I BRING CHILDREN?
Yes, children are welcome on charters, however, 12 years old and up is preferred. Children count as part of your charter, with a maximum of 4 people per trip.

HOW LONG DOES THE TRIP LAST?
The trip starts at sunset and goes until 12:30am.

WHERE IS THE TRIP LOCATED?
A trip with S&K Charters can take place in any of the following areas: Homosassa, Crystal River, Yankeetown, or Ocala. You can discuss which area is preferred with the Captain during booking.

WHAT IS GIGGING?
Gigging is using a handheld spear to catch fish rather than hook and line. It is primarily a nighttime activity and most effective in clear shallow water. Read more…

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL?
Yes, alcohol is permitted. However, no glass containers will be permitted on the vessel. You can read more about this in our waiver.

DO I TIP THE CAPTAIN?
a 20% gratuity is customary. However, if you do choose to tip please do so according to your experience.
